For children born with "scaly" skin, they were unlikely to be children of Seklies but more commonly to have ichthypsis which is a genetic skin disorder that causes patches of skin to harden and appear scaly. Listen to the podcast here: Bob Hamilton, who was a boy at the time, took part in the hunt back in 1954 recounted the event in an interview with Glasgow Live he said “we used to sit and tell ghost stories, scary stories. The vampire was supposed to have killed two children. Listen to the podcast here The famous Kelpie statues in Falkirk are over 1,000 feet tall and weigh over 300 tonnes each. The sculptures were molded on Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron. The first year that the 5-star tourist attraction nearly one million people visited them, they are built from structural steel with a stainless-steel cladding. Construction on the sculptures started in the June 2013 and was completed by October 2013.
