I have a 103 built pushing about 120 horse 125 and I go to set my rods and I do the 2 1/2 turns and it still makes noise and no matter how loose I loosen up the rod, every time I tighten the nut the rod doesn’t spin. it spins when I start. I had an upgrade done on my 05 88 twin cam, put s&s 585fast start cams, gear drive, 96 cylinders, new push rods, the bike is now pretty ratical..I was told to break it in for about 500 miles, and then have it dynoed...I do not have a power tuner installed (downloaded), so should I buy one, or will the performance shop I choose do so? I have a 96ci 2011 dyna twin cam in a frame without a transfer case and am trying to take the motor out of the frame or frame off the motor(which is not sitting on anything but the frame on the jack). All - new to the Forum and HD's generally, so be gentle........ I have a 2022 Sport Glide, my first HD and my first 2 wheeler in 25 years, and am planning to (slowly - finance driven) take it up to Stage 1. I was planning initially to get it sounding more "Harley" by using a slip on muffler, currently considering the Cobra 909 but open to suggestions. I just wanted to know if anybody else has had problems with their drive belts prematurely breaking. On my 96 sporty 1200 just coming up to turning 20000 kilometers (yep I'm in Canada) the belt broke in my drive way as I was about to go for a scoot. I have not abused the bike in any way or how but drive it reasonablely. The mechanics told me that the belts are like tires and age and crack therefore weaking the belt and causing it to break. Anybody have issues with the screamin eagle stage 3 110 bolt on kit for 103's? I had Harley install the kit last year on my 2014 fxdb. This year I'm having head work done but the mechanic (not at a Harley dealer) calls me and says ''hey you might want to come take a look at the cylinder walls and the piston tops before these heads go on because they're all scraped and scratched up and doesn't look like it will last too long''. so I do and they are completely damaged.
