Hi, has anyone had a stain on the Parex monoblanco render that professional render cleaner will not remove? we are foster Carer’s and the child we have has made some enemies that have very annoyingly threw some eggs at the house at midnight, we discovered it at 6am so the egg has stained. has anyone managed to touch up with paint before and could recommend a paint? it would be hugely appreciated ..read more

We have a job and all the weep vents sit at window head level and dpc level there all in per blocks width so f**k**g loads basically I have info from a very good source that says you don’t need them with render unless it’s silicon based or bricks because most modern renders breathe haven’t a clue about where it stands with traditional sand cement Any thoughts I want to hit the f**k**g things off tbh if it’s possible you only need a couple to sit too low to mess you’re beading up And... Hi all, very new to this and just purchased my first diy home project. I’m currently in the process of blocking up a few doorways to be plastered over and I’m after some advice. I have built my stud frame within the existing doorframe and plasterboards roughly 2mm shy of the existing old doorframe. I have now read a few forums stating it’s not ideal to plaster over wood as it causes cracks. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions I can do in this situation, please see the photo... Small question I should already know the answer off but haven't tanked an exterior wall before so thought I'd ask anyway.. Have to tank inside this planter box wall..it's getting filled with stone then some top soil and a few plants. It'll be getting plastered on the outside with white cement and white sand and the reason for tanking is to stop any damp coming through the wall. I'll be using bostik tanking slurry or similar. Should I prime with sbr before tanking or straight on with the... Read more ..read more

Hello. I’m here to pick up tips for skimming over torn plasterboard paper. Some of the lining paper is difficult to remove. How do I keep walls level as there is a bump down one section of the plasterboard where it doesn’t seem to be screwed to the joist. There’s a bit of loose plaster near the ceiling which I suppose I must fill first. Then there’s scrimming the gap between the board and the solid wall ..read more
