Over 60ers - who AARPs?

So I'll be 61 in two months and I'm getting a lot of AARP ads/solicitations. Is anyone a member? Is it worth it? What do you get? To me, the only real benefit I may get is extended discounts. New membership is only $12 the first year. I'm finding that senior discounts vary by place (you gotta be 60, no you gotta be 62.....) and maybe some judicious reserach willl save me $12 more the first year. To make this biking relevant, do any shops give senior discounts that you're aware of ..read more

I'm heading to Moab tomorrow for a week or so and then heading to the Virgin / St George area. I rode the Guacamole trails last fall and really had a blast. I'm planning on hitting Gooseberry, Thunder Mountain trail and maybe Spinal Tap. Any suggestions for must ride trails in that area? I prefer blue/black trails. Thanks, Dave ..read more

How to remove seized collar.

It's a BikeYoke Divine SL dropper post. The dust cover colar is supposed to be hand tight, and it was hand tightened by me few months ago. However now its seized. Note that there is no grease on the threads. I've tried bare hands, they slip. I've tired rubber gloves, now the post slips sideways in the seat tube. Any tips on unthreading the collar? Maybe sime penetrating fluid, or tool-that can give me more leverage ..read more
