The battery in my 35 2 dr slant, as I believe in all Early V8’s is a real PIA to get to! When my back was semi OK I was able to get the battery in and out of the car. Now that I’ve had the fourth surgery on my back and it’s virtually impossible to get the battery out of the car. I got a strap designed to pull the battery out and even with my wife trying too help there’s just not enough room for both of us to get in there and grab the strap together to and pull the battery out. It occurs to me that this is probably the RIGHT time to go ahead and move the battery to a location easier to access ..read more

All 4 shocks on my '28 Sport Coupe are leaking and over winter are probably now dry. I'm wondering if it's a giant pain to rebuild these or should i buy new? I have no machining tools so if that's required I know my answer. Maybe someone rebuilds them ..read more

I've upgraded my 37 to 12V, negative ground. I also had the stock coil rebuilt to 12V neg ground as well. I was told to use a 2-ohm ballast resistor with the coil, but I haven't been able to locate one. Any suggestions? thanks ..read more

I found a lot of questions in the archives about the door latch, but I have a question about the opposite side - the striker that mounts on the B pillar. There is nothing in the B pillar for the striker screws to thread into, on either driver's side or passenger's side.
Can anyone tell me what should be there, a threaded plate, separate nuts & washers or ????
Thanks in advance for any information you could provide ..read more

A friend brought me a Ford F-100 steeringbox today.
My idea has been use the std box but even if I'm more focus on look or older
ideas maybe if one stretch into the early 50's or before 55 both the F-100
box and hair pins might be something. Read its bigger than the F-1, but there is also the Hudsons.
One get ’new’ ideas and I has seen Dick Wades 3W 32. Cool car, has Okie axle,
hairpins and a Ford F-1 box.
The F-1 is 48-52 and the F-100 53-56 ( correct )
So whats the benefit use the F-1 instead of the F-100 in a 32 frame with FH.
I seen the input comes in from above on the F-100 ( as std ..read more
