First, I am buying a 2018 Lariat. I am brand new to diesel and I have found a lot of great info on this forum so far. Now for a warranty, I am between these two. I can get a 48/60k from Ford Protect and a 60/60k from Quality Guard+Plus. They look to be almost the exact same and I can get them both for very similar prices. Hello, i hear that there has been an issue for the f-150 diesel motors spinning bearings using the recommended 5w-30 and that it is recommended now to use 5w-40. Just curious if anyone out there can help me figure this out. Parked my truck the other day, it was running fantastic, no issues. Went to start it the next day and it would not start. It goes through the normal start up procedure, but when it should be engaging the starter it just clicks. Battery is fully charged.
