From time to time the authenticity of some Artist Club blades has come into question (most recently via PMs). For some reason, the most common knockoffs that I've seen are the Kai blades on AliExpress. A good way to satisfy yourself of this is to look at the cutouts on the blade. Each manufacturer does it differently.
So I've gone through my discarded blades (hence the rust) to show examples of the common ones.

Hi All, I’m a Wet Shaver, a Story Weaver, a Banker, a Melody Maker, a Manic Traveler and a Food Lover. I’m a proud Singaporean and the three cities that are closest to my heart are Melbourne, Wellington and Osaka.
I shifted to Wet Shaving with DE Safety Razors in 2020 after a decade of bumps, ingrown hair issues and razor burn with my cartridge Razors, was the best decision I ever made. Since then it has been a journey of sorts with that search for a perfect razor leading to owning a few...

If anyone has tried this and or similar...

Great budget shaving soap.

Deal popped up on Ozbargain for it. See here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/840062
Seems like a fantastic deal if it was already on your radar. It’s very tempting but I probably shouldn’t get it because it wasn’t something I was planning on getting prior to this ..read more

Most traditional wet shavers believe that pre-shave face preparation can make or break a shave's quality. I am in the same camp. Over the past 4½ years I have developed my pre-shave face prep to what I thinks works for me. This development has only been based on theory with no practical comparison. My current pre-shave face prep consists of:
Wet face and apply Pears transparent soap.
Wet hands and work the soap well into my whiskers for about ½ to 1 minute.
Rinse hands and start...
