Let’s talk Star Trek! This can go in a myriad of directions. Fave characters, “best“ Captain, fave episode, film, etc. Like the universe in which it’s set, there are no limits to where we can take it! Like many, I’m a fan. But I’m not a Trekkie. At least I don’t consider myself to be one. I have never been to a sci-fi convention, nor have I worn a costume. Full disclosure, I do own three or four ST novels and a movie or two. At one time I owned the very first Star Trek comic book. My Mom... Star Trek ..read more

Hey guys, I'm really interested in the razor below, a Goodfellows' Smile Valynor razor. This particular razor is probably very polarizing because of its looks, where some will like it while other won't, but I fall in the like it very much category. It certainly is different and IMHO, pretty darn handsome. My problem with this razor is the brass pieces because they will likely patina, and then I might not think it's very handsome. I know you can clean brass, but that could get tedious and... The Goodfellows' Valynor Razor. A Winner or Not ..read more

Meatball Stroganoff My daughter has been begging me to make it for a while. We put it over rice, but if noodles are already made, they will do fine. It's a family favorite, with my kids, wife, and relatives, for 25+ years. Make a lot, freeze what you won't eat in the next week, and enjoy later in the year ..read more

Am I a Schick Man?

So I just got my second shave in with a minty Schick Krona I won on eBay. And wow, what a shave! I had read nearly unanimous good reviews of these 60's/70's era razors and they weren't kidding. This TTO razor has a long, tapered plastic handle which I found easy to maneuver and grip. The weight is nearly all in the head, but I didn't find it hard to find the right angle or pressure. I shaved with a Trig blade, which is from Treet blade company and it was just super smooth and not very... Am I a Schick Man ..read more
