I'm well familiar with the HEC DTM. It is not able to display fuel pressure since that data is not made available to the IC. You're misinterpreting something. I suspect you have a little under a half tank of gas and that you're seeing the FUEL A/D parameter ..read more

Your image isn't showing. I still don't understand what you mean by "connector plate off the distributor". It has no back, so no plate. The distributor connector isn't on a plate, and it shouldn't have oil or grease inside the distributor. (click this text ..read more

Eastern Canada • extended warranty for 2021 f150

I bought a 2021 F150 Lariat just before Christmas with about 50,000 kms and twice its been in the shop for repairs under warranty. First time at about 52,000 kms the engine light came on and again recently at 54,000 kms. Today the part was replaced and it had something to do with emission controls. So at 60,000 kms or end of June it will be out of warranty and so now i can't decide whether to spend the $2,899 plus tax for the extended warranty which would keep me covered to 120,000 kms or to 2031. Originally offered when i bought the truck and i mentioned that if i had lots of trouble i would ..read more

I entered the hidden menu, by holding the trip button on the cluster and turning the key to the on position, and it has a fuel pressure reading and diagnostic trouble code display. All this shows on the digital odometer. There are videos on youtube showing how to do this. here's a link to a video showing the test mode. https://youtu.be/qrHJP_JechQ?si=3sMpMhJR4ugPDsMe&t=284 Edit: I'm going to hook a scanner to to it later, to get the codes, but curious what the Fuel P info reading means, if it's not fuel pressure ..read more

Also I took the back plate off my motor craft distributor to clean the oil out... I don't know what this means. Post pics. There was oil everywhere inside the distributor so took the connector plate off the back and cleaned everything but there was some white (lithium? dielectric?) grease between the two plates that was also cleaned off Thanks for the continued support https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10 ... 9408484970 ..read more

My fuel Pressure reads 126 in the test mode on the dash. And I'm reading the normal is around 40. Any ideas on what causes that. I'm guessing it's the fuel pressure sensor on the fuel rail. There are no error codes and the check engine light is on. Thanks ..read more

...separator plate foam gasket... It's just anti-rattle foam, and the original was the wrong material anyway because it absorbed oil, causing it to swell & peel itself off its adhesive. If you use anything at all (I usually don't), I'd use oil-resistant sealant, like UltraBlack or RightStuff. Also I took the back plate off my motor craft distributor to clean the oil out... I don't know what this means. Post pics ..read more
