I have a 2015 altima and recently the transmission has been acting up. It has stopped pulling or changing gears on a number of occasions. When it stops I add a quart of fluid to the transmission and it starts running again but after a while it back acting erratic. I don't want to add more fluid to keep from over filling.plus there is no dipstick to check fluid level just a plug over the filler tube. I checked the codes because a number of lights have come on. I usually change the oil in my vehicles and I have a question about changing it on the Altima. Does that cover panel on the bottom always have to come off each time the oil is changed? That seems like a lot just to get to the filter and oil plug. I watched a video on the oil being changed and the shop has it up on racks so dropping that panel and flipping it back out of the way is not that big of a deal. Hello All, I am new here and just bought a 2013 Altima S. The car runs fine and looks new has 39k miles. When they were prepping the car, they cleaned the battery connections, They did this before running the emission test. Of course they wiped out the stored parameters. They said to drive the car 50-80 miles and that should set the monitors. I did that and connecting my scanner still shows that evap is not ready. I am going back and have them take care of it.
