I'm lost as to why my bash script is failing.  I have written a bash script that if I run it manually it will successfully complete the 2 steps in the script.  All the script does is run VLC to show a camera feed and then update a test.txt file with the current date so I can tell it's running. I've added the line @reboot /path/to/my/script.sh to the crontab -e file and it will run at reboot, but the VLC part seems to fail. I want to create a FTP server that I can manage the users via a gui page. Linux os is not important. Maybe debian or Ubuntu. I would also like to use  ConfigServer Security and Firewall or something similar to manage ports and IP allows and blocks. The users will all have their own FTP directory and I would use root from my PC to access the folder in case I need to access files. I dont need email or anything else.
