Hi
I’ve been struggling to get my Disco 2 TD5 back on the road. The local garage isn’t interested in the old girl. They have cleared the engine codes but says that he can’t communicate with the BCU. It basically immobilised the car a while ago and I just want to send it off to somebody who can remove that particular program so that it will start. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated ..read more

I have a 2.2 TD4 2009 Freelander 2. Just over a week ago I was driving it as normal, and there was a bang from the rear, followed by a whirring noise. The noise was in time with the wheel turning, and as I slowed down thinking ‘oh %@£&’ the whirring noise slowed and there was almost a dragging sound.
Got out, checked everything, nothing there. Nothing in the wheels or hanging down. Took it straight to a jet washed and washed the underneath and wheel arches. More looking, nothing found...

Hi, my defender td5 2002 90 struggles on acceleration and its hard to get it above 65
Just trying to figure out why at first the E pin on the boost waste gate was misidentified so i thought it could be that but that hasn’t changed anything so iv removed the pipe and this is how much play is in the turbo?
Is this normal and would this cause a lack in power when accelerating?
The problem of the lack in power started after I had my clutch and flywheel changed, at first i...

Hi, anybody have any ideas please?
2016 Discovery Sport, when I drive car locks no issues, park up, lock it alarm goes off. Had a new battery fitted, if I check the last alarm message - Volumetric sensor.
I can drive for 2 hours, park up and it will not trigger the alarm for an hour or so !
Sorry if it’s been asked before. Any advice is welcome, been ongoing since August ..read more

Both my rear door window trims have seen better days. The other day at breakers there were both sides available in better nick than mine so whilst there got my hand in pocket and splashed out.
First step today was to get old ones out. Its easier than I first thought.
Wind down window fully
Because the old ones were being thrown I didn't need to be to kind extracting them. Using a screwdriver and small plastic pry bar popped out the trim from the frame. once it's started to move...

Easy question. D3 suspension lift options. Obviously +2” air to spring conversion. But I’d like to keep the air suspension while it works. I’ve seen the Fully Adjustable Suspension Lift Rod Kits, are these any good? Are they a good idea for a permanent +2” lift?

Just went to start my lannie, it started after about ten seconds of turning over (which has become common since about 12 months ago). Checked underneath it... spot of liquid and drip drip drip.
I was hoping it was maybe the lift-pump (I've got a spare) or the fuel filter being loose.
Popped the bonnet... It's out of the fuel injection block itself coming out in two places at the top where the butterfly thing it and at the bottom. So my thoughts are its an o-ring inside that's perished?
So...

So I bought a military look landrover, I am not yet in possession of it yet, it was painted up like a military vehicle with bridge plate, it’s perfect and good/great condition, low mileage, clean inside, lots of great points, a dead ringer to one I had 25 years ago and had to give up so very emotional, it was every thing I hoped for…however!…it is not definite it ever served, I doubt it, ( it’s civvy spec…but maybe it served) I presumed that as it was done like a military it was,
I am a bit...
