Hello everyone, I need advice. I intend purchasing a new Velar but I just CANNOT decide whether to get A D300 or a P400. I decide on one then change my mind over and over again. I like the thought of 400bhp in the petrol then I think the significant increase in torque of the diesel would be better. Would the petrol be a sportier drive and quieter or what? I have had sporty cars for the last 10 years (m3's) and mpg makes no difference to me at all. I only do 7k miles per year and only short journeys. I bought 2019 model and it was clear from the date of buying , that the engine had some problems. The agent replaced water pump due to leakage and engine/ fan noise and vibration. Every time I have to report the problem and they reprogramme the software!.  When the car done 18000, the engine broke without any warning! The factory decided to replace the engine. My question now is: does this problem appear  in every 2.0 liter petrol engine? and is there any chance of the same problem coming again?? Any answer?Thanks ..read more

Hi. Has anyone experience or a recommendation for buying / fitting a rear bike rack, please ?  I have roof bars and a proper bike fitting, but my electric bike is a bit heavier to lift that high. I don't have a tow bar so a rear bike rack for on/off practical use seems the better option, but which one ?   Halfords do a couple;  could I get away with the rear low mount one or is the higher mount style better anyway ? Hi, Just bought a late 2018 P250 HSE Velar Fuji white after selling my 911 turbo which has not been used much since retiring in 2012 from JLR Halewood. My wife owned a 2009 Freelander 2 from new and was a fantastic reliable car contrary to what I was told!! Afternoon all.  So 6 weeks ago today I went into Land Rover in stoke and ordered my velar. Paid my deposit etc.  Had a few emails with advertisements etc and one with my receipt for the deposit.  But still not had a build date, I’ve emailed them this week asking when I will get a date and been told that they haven’t been allocated their build allocation for the first 1/4 yet.  When I went in and paid the deposit I wa told it was going to be the following week.  Anybody else having the same issues ..read more

What comes with your velar in loose shipped parts? Just wondering if the dealer removed items during PDI and never put them back. I noticed that the tow eye is missing as well as the block heater cord.  Was there any thing else that should come with the car? Thanks in advance ..read more

Hi we have bought an Velar - RS Dynamic P250 SE, and our surprise was that after we get home I notice that the front right parking sensor is showing all the time like if there is something very near the bumper in that area… the problem is that is not true nothing there, I try cleaning the sensors and all that, but nothing help, so I think that maybe the problem can be a sensor fault or maybe the cables that connect the sensors, so I return to the dealer for warranty and they answer me that this is a problem with the RsDynamic 2019 and that Land Rover know it and are working in this but don't ..read more
