Central locking problems

Hi guys, I’m having trouble with my 2016 SE Tech central locking. Initially my drivers door wouldn’t lock / mirrors didn’t fold so I’m pretty sure the actuator has gone on this door lock. The rest of the doors however were fine. Today, both my rear doors wouldn’t lock or unlock with the key or controls inside the car. Passenger door is fine. I find it really strange that both locks would fail completely at the same time so I’m thinking it may be a fuse but I’ve checked and they seem fine... Central locking problems ..read more

Hi, I’m new to the group. I bought my Range Rover Evoque L538 (I think) back in September last year. Since owning it I’ve had three problems! Both drivers side door locks needed to be replaced which has now resulted me in having an air bag light on even tho the sensors are all plugged back in! The rear windscreen washer fluid does not seem to want to work anymore. It worked perfectly fine and now boom. Doesn’t wanna squirt no more? any ideas on how to fix this as it’s bugging the life... Hi all I removed a faulty steering rack which was making my steering wheel vibrate and fitted a used replacement steering rack (same year 2018) and swapped the evqoues original motor (which holds the ECU) onto the new used rack. It's now turning the wheels ok however there is a clanging / creaking / clunking noise which can be heard when turning the steering wheel. Any ideas? I've gone over checking / tightening all the bolts and they're all on properly. See video... STEERING RACK HELP ..read more

2017 L538 P0234

Hi - My daughter has a 2017, first gen I think, with an L538 engine. It throws a P0234 under load. I was looking at the forum posts for this issue (very usefull) but I have a question. The forum posts and Rover list two different boost control solenoids. One is a LR93490 which lives in the intercooler plumbing and an LR49972 which is the ford valve the forum posts mention. Can someone confirm which part(s) is correct for this car and if replacing one of these is a resonable guess for the... 2017 L538 P0234 ..read more

Insurance quote question. I was about to buy a 2019 first edition Evoque 250 bhp with 53'000 miles. Insurance was coming out with esure for 700 ish a year. I am now going for 2020 SE Evoque with 14'000 200 bhp miles instead. For the new quote i am getting over £1000 for insurance. Why would there be such a massive difference between the two cars for insurance when the slightly newer car has even less miles ..read more

Hi All, I have a 2012 Range Rover Evoque with the powered liftgate/tailgate. Today when I went to open it, it started opening and then I heard a loud bang as the left strut popped off. What caused it, was the ball stud which is screwed into the E-Pillar/body snapped clean off Unfortunately the threaded stud is still left in the body. How am I meant to get the rest of the threaded stud out so that I can replace it?? There is no room to get a drill or stud remover in there because of... 2012 Range Rover Evoque Powered Liftgate Ball Stud Snapped ..read more

Gearbox fault reduced traction

Hi I’m new to the Forum. I bought a 2012 Evoque 2.2 D 77k miles in pristine condition back in December last year. I have had a couple of issues. First gearbox fault light which I remedied by changing the auxiliary battery near the fuse board. Second was a rear passenger door wouldn’t open so replaced the actuator which seems to have done the trick. Then the other day the fault “ gearbox fault reduced traction” came on. Presumed it was Haldex but Also considered a battery problem due to some... Gearbox fault reduced traction ..read more
