Lord & Taylor will be liquidating all of its stores upon reopening from COVID. What will take the place of its spot on Boylston Street? Ideally a tower with some ground floor retail. Could go tall here, right? If not, I'd love to see a Nordstrom full-line store, but with them closing 16 of their 115 or so stores, I'd say that not as likely. Maybe a Target? Also unlikely but would be neat ..read more

*I also posted this on railroad.net, in case this seems similar I’ve heard about plans from the early 1910’s about electrifying, quad tracking the B&M eastern route, as well as creating a harbor tunnel to connect it to south station when the B&M was controlled by the New Haven Railroad. UMass Lowell has been on a building spree as of late. There is one project that is fully clad and is nearing completion on the main campus along the Merrimack river.
