Haven’t been following it for years… have a few questions.
Are they still pushing for it as a Olympic sport?
Is it still overstuffed with different feds and sub categories ?
Are the leaders in the IPF still a bunch of pricks?

Hey everyone. I have a strange question that I’m sure isn’t that strange. I’ve been lifting for at least 5-7 years. I’ve been doing different programs throughout the years. The best numbers I ever received were when I was running starting strength LP. Since then I have had subpar numbers that I wish I could change. Currently I am running 5/3/1 and I have been climbing in weight but I notice I am getting to the end of that. I’m the first cycle I was hitting 10 reps or more on the pr sets. Now I’m pushing hard to get 5-7 reps. I have been playing with the idea of running another LP to get my num ..read more

My muscles always feel great during and right after a lift. Nice and full. Why do they always look and feel so flat the other 90% of the time?

Hi everyone some quick advice needed on getting my deadlift up to scratch.
So I want to compete at some point in a powerlifting event so I wanna get a good conventional deadlift.
I’m 88kg and my current lifts are 180kg squat and 120kg bench, but I’ve never really done conventional deadlifts so my trap deadlift is around 200kg atm but when I was a bit heavier it was 230kg.
I’ve hit conventional deadlift and wow my weaknesses are exposed, I’m struggling/being humbled with 170-180kg.
My sticking point is definitely the initial lift from the ground, with the trap bar the handles add extra inches s ..read more

Hi guys, I’m 31 years old 186 cm tall and 86kg with 12% body fat. I workout since I’m 20 and right now I do with squat 140kg as 1 RM. I want to start an 8 weeks program to increase my 1 RM. Searching on google there are many programs to follow for a once a week squat workout ( just to say I workout 6 times a week following Push Pull Legs routine). So what’s your advice or if you can link me a program to perform once a week Squat with % sets and reps to perform in order to increase my 1 RM in 8 weeks? thanks

But of a strange one here.
I’ve been doing weighted pull-up/chin-ups dips and push-ups with 15-20kg following a pyramid style rep and set range. Ie 1 to 10 then back down from 10 to 1.
I don’t feel the contractions much or the pump as much, neither do I feel the muscles being worked as I do when doing without weight.
What could be the cause of this?
In a nutshell, when doing weighted Calesthenics I cannot feel it the same as I’m doing unweighted. Hope that makes sense.
Thanks

Currently use shinguards when deadlifting. Without them my shins get scraped and cut. Clothes stick, etc. currently using shin guards but bar often gets caught on them.
If any of you have experience using deadlifting socks, do they protect your shins very well?
And before anyone remarks that cutting your shins is a mark of manhood- I work in an operating room and the oozing from my shins is an infectious risk
Appreciate your input
