Hi, I have a female Betta who’s been stripey since I got her, i didn’t realise these were stress lines until she was here. Since she arrived I have had a couple of Ph issues with my tank but it’s all sorted now but she’s still stripey. In the tank there’s a lot of plants and Betta specific hides, her tank mates are 4 corys and 2 shrimp who she gets on with… I monitor what she eats, the temperature, the brightness etc. Any ideas what else it could be? I am new to the beta fish world, or anything aquatic. I want a beta fish and some frogs and snails. any advice on getting them? Morning all, I've recently got back into fishkeeping and things have moved on since I last had fish. My first question is are air pumps with a connected air stone necessary these days? The filler I have is the Ciano CFBIO XL which doesn't add air as part of the process. What it does do is agitate the water surface. HI! Thinking of getting cherry shrimps as a pet (wont be placing it with other fishes). Ok, question about stocking rules for feeder fish. I've always stuck to the 1inch of fish per gallon rule with my guppies in the past, but I just got 10 feeder guppies and they are TINY- smaller than any of the feeders that I've seen in my local pet store before. So I'm wondering if the rules for stocking feeder fish are any different because of their size? Hi All, It's been around 10 years since I last had Angel Fish but now that I am retired and spend more time at home I'd really like to get some again. I am looking to have three or four Angel Fish but I've been trying to work out what size tank I would require for this number. Hi everyone, I am considering a crayfish as a pet. I used to have one as a kid but it was living in such a small cage. I don't trust google too much after my experience with hamster care and i was thinking if you knew anything about them. the crayfish i hope to get are those really small and common ones you see in the pet shop, roughly about half the size of your hand.
