Long shot, but I'm curious whether my first FJ (a 2009 base model purchased that same year in Virginia) is still on the road. I sold it in 2016 (appx.) after it passed 150,000 miles. I've regretted it ever since. Prior to owning the FJ, I owned American-made vehicles, so I wrongfully assumed it was reaching the end of its useful lifespan. I am wanting a front bumper replacement with a grill guard for my 13 FJ. I will not be mounting a winch on it. My primary concern is something that will offer me protection if I hit a deer as I drive a lot in the dark and an area with a lot of deer. The warrior 3510 looks pretty good but i have never heard of that brand before and am not sure how good it is. The road armor titan 2 is really nice but pricey. Hi all - new member, here, and new FJ owner. My wife and I have been wanting an off-roader for a while and were considering Jeeps, 4Runners, as well as Lexus GX470. I have a 2013 FJ. It currently has a 2” or so spacer lift on it that was on there when I purchased it four years ago. It has 33” tires. I don’t go on any kind of off roading trips or do anything crazy but I do have a ranch with several miles of pretty rough roads many of which require 4WD. Anytime I go there I use 4WD but I don’t go wheeling as a hobby if that makes sense. I saw several old threads related to this issue but it wasn't obvious whether it's an actual problem. My '07 came factory stock with the shifter and from memory has always had a light rattle in most gears on light/moderate throttle that increases with rpm. During cruise at light throttle in 6th gear it mostly disappears. At high rpm it's loudest as the 8-ball TRD shift knob flails at a high frequency side-to-side.
