Hello,
I have a 2018 Toyota Yaris LE Hatchback with 42,000 km on it.
Lately the analog fuel gauge (clock-style display) reads properly, but the electronic reading is way off. I managed to reset it successfully a month ago, but now it is acting up again. My previous reset action (Hold down ODO button, turn key on and press three times) doesn't seem to work this time. I may have missed a step.
Canada vehicle.
If anyone has experience this and can give me the rundown on the re-set sequence, I would appreciate it! I'm just glad the main gauge on the dash works well. Just the reading in the Audio ..read more

I had this strange issue in 1.3 petrol engine the evap line I can feel have a high pressure vacuum
When I open the tank cap I feel hissing noise feel pressure released
Is this normal
I was looking at the evap purge valve which has one line from fuel tank evap this line has got vaccum in it and when I removed the finder the rpm increases this line connected to black pipe in the valve there is grey one from this valve which i believe goes into engine
No codes.
When I remove my finger from evap line the rpm increases and LTFT jumped to 9
Any help to test cross check would be highly appre ..read more

I have a Yaris Mk1 (2000) which is displaying the engine light. When I run the ODB reader it comes back with cam shaft sensor. I replaced the sensor and the light comes back after being reset.
The car is really sluggish on a cold engine but runs great and nippy enough when warm. Plugs look good - nice medium tan colour.
If the ignition timing was wrong I would expect some 'symptoms' when the engine is warm as well.
I don't think it's a choke issue because there is no indication it will stall after being started - just very sluggish - which makes me wonder if there is another sensor, perhaps ..read more

Good afternoon. Thought I would share this little project with you all. So me being a cheap ass, I cut and lengthened my stock shifter by ~20mm below the ball for about a 25% decrease in throw. This was great, but the side to side movement was still too great for my liking. So, we came up with this.. a 3D Printable short shifter that replaces the stock lateral part. Still a work in progress, but I will post pics when the part comes off the printer tomorrow :headbang:
Gotta figure out how I can upload the STL and IPT files here..

Hey guys I bit the bullet and decided to try one of these cheap chinese ttcr-II strut braces from aliexpress.
Cost me $98usd shipped, was a little drama you have to choose china ems for shipping or it wont be accepted for shipping, but the good news is they use UPS and the parcel got to me in 7days, fastest package Ive got from anywhere overseas. The seller was really good, communicated and helped with every stage when the carrier had to be changed. (I chose the normal aliexpress shipping first and its only for smaller items) Here is the link https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3267...62721802BTA ..read more

heya guys, so i realize the rear lower sway bar by most comapnies is just two drilled plates and a piece of bar.
We can make this with some 2mm steel plate and some 30-40mm steel square bar.
Now you could weld this but you can easily bolt this together too if you only have a drill.
Here is the megan racing brace I will copy, the amount of bolts they are using is overkill, some brace us two but I figured 3 would traigulated would be enough each side. this allows you to use a piece of 2mm x50mm sheets or even cut large steel square bar like i have.
Here is my started brackets, 3 bolts each ..read more

I Installed a third gen yaris radio (p/n: pt54652121) in my 2007 hatch. Also changed the HVAC lights to orange to match the radio. Seems to work well and I appreciate the OEM look. Besides the radio I needed these 3 adapters
20+8 Pin to 28 Pin adapter. P/N: PT546-00120-CH
Antenna adapter. P/N: PT546-00120-AD
Bluetooth Mic. P/N: PT546-74120-MC
Been using it for a few weeks and seems to work well. Would appreciate opinions ..read more
