I was just told my car will not pass inspection because of "swelling, delamination or pitting" to the brakes on my 2023 Rav 4 Prime that only has 17,540 miles. And the dealer is telling me this is wear. HUH? Yes, I know brakes and pads are considered a "wear item" but at 17,540 miles? This can't be "normal." HI All: Background: We bought this car in 2018, with 150k Mi. on it. Soon after we had the engine rebuilt from a factory recall related to mis-sized rings, and oil usage. Last year, the rear drive shaft was replaced. The car came to us with a rattle that happened when it was trying to shift into OD at about 40mph, when I didn't push the gas hard enough to accelerate. Hello I wanted to ask if anybody knows a little bit about the oem toyota pads. I purchased them and I noticed that they say side A and B I was wondering what side goes where for example A on the outside and B on the inside? or B on the outside and A inside? I cant find this information anywhere, and I tried searching here but after 30 pages i got nothing so far. additionally if anybody knows what side goes up and down I did notice they are not the same on the top and bottom portions... On JULY 2023, DTC P0453 displayed on my "check engine light" on my 2019 ARV4 XLE Hybrid. I found the cause of the DTC: P0453 - a squirrel or mouse completely chewed off ALL the wires on the 7-pin connector of the fuel vapor canister. I ordered/bought the new 7-pin connector/wire harness from NAPA Auto Parts (I am very happy that NAPA had this connector/wire harness).
