I started smoking cigars in October, set up a coolidor in late October with a humidifier in the bottom, 2 racks, and a hygrometer on the top rack. The humidor has never topped 72% (rarely touching 70%), it stays 67-68%, which is where I like it. Only distilled water has been used in the humidor. I smoked a cigar last night & noticed a light white/clear film across a good bit of the cigar. It was a cheapo daily smoker, so I figured it was sloppy use of glue on the wrapper. Okay, this is going to sound so stupid, but I just got one of these lighters as part of a really great (4 lighters for $20 lighter deal) from a Site That Cannot Be Named Here. It looks like this: Here's the question: On the bottom there's a flathead screw to turn the flame level up or down. But there's no "hole" to stick a butane straw into like almost all other lighters I have do. Instead, there's a tiny Philips head screw (no hole) with a little icon of a butane can next to it. What say you? This is on a cigar a recently acquired from a pass. In cellophane, with a cedar sleeve (?), no idea of the age. Some of the spots have definite thickness. I ordered some Partagas D series 4 cigars as a newbie to cigars online at Cubanlous.com. The website refunded me because they never arrived. They were seized by customs and I got a letter with 4 options. 1. Consider that CBP consider my petition 2. Request that CBP consider my offer in compromise 3. Abandon any claim or interest in the property 4. File a claim to refer my case to judicial action. Anyone have experience with this? Is it something I can just ignore and customs can keep them?
