About E. Jenkinson
Ezra Jenkinson (1872-1947) is an English composer and violinist, mostly known as the composer of “Elves Dance,” which can be found in Solos for Young Violinists, Vol. 1. If you are a beginning student, it can be learned with detache stroke, but sautille can be introduced with this piece as well.
Elves Dance is the second piece of Six lyric Pieces in First to Third Position for violin and piano (1894) by Ezra Jenkinson as you can see below.

Scales are very important to learn and practice all the time.
We usually start with one octave, but you are now ready for two octaves.
Here’s some example of two octave Major scales for violin in the key of C, G, D, A, Bflat and F.
We use the 3rd position in G Major and D Major scales, and the 4th position in F Major.

Question: Teacher! The white part of the tip of my bow came out! What should I do!?
My student asked me during her online lesson showing me her bow.
The white part at the head of the bow is called a tip plate.
First, you do not need to get too exited. I understand unexpected accidents happen. You are not the only one who encounters this problem.
