Hi Team. I've built a pair of 3 way active monitors for home. The dsp's in the monitors take a digital signal AES through XLR for each monitor, one dsp for left monitor and one for right. So I'm looking for an audio interface to come out of my PC (usb) and output a digital signal to each monitor AES through XLR. I bought a pair of KEF C40s for the cheap price of 40$, however one of them was dead silent, hence the price. I took the broken speaker apart and heated all the solder joints on the crossover. This solved the issue and both speakers are playing. Even tho they play I have to turn the volume up to unprecedented levels to run them normally. For example, with my KEF C30s a little smaller with only woofer however still a 100w I would only have to turn the volume knob to 30% to have it running at... Recently, for my birthday, my son bought me a iFi Uno, which I have been driving my Quad 909 with via a passive pre - amplifier - potentiometer in a box. The 909 in turn, drives my Spendor BC1's. Many years ago,probably 20+, my wife bought a new Aiwa 6 part hi fi system. It has been sitting in a cabinet ever since but has had very little use.
