Hello. My name is Zofia, I'm a novice here. I'm a big believer in simple...for me personally. The words just focus my energy, my intention. And sometimes I like to write those intentions on paper. It helps me focus and I think words have power. I'm usually in the mood to do this after tarot session. So...drawing your energy or power, any of these things speak to you ..read more

This is one of my favorites, not only because it's filled with hidden gems from commercial experience but also because it's an easy and enjoyable read. I've summarized the book to make it easier to review more frequently in a shorter period of time. Hopefully, some may find this summary helpful! "Maximum Entertainment" by Ken Weber ..read more

Invisible Deck - variation on pairing to allow even/odd cards
Theory11 » Magic Forum
by daveola

I was thinking about a different pairing for ID that allows for even+odd cards to show and helps avoid the split of kings. Instead of pairing cards up that add to 13, pair up cards that add to 14. Then put hearts and clubs on one side and spades and diamonds on the other. You'll get a mix of all the possible number cards plus red and black on both sides - which seems less noticeable to me than all odd or all even on one side. Then when they name the card, you pull the side out that has the... Read more ..read more

This modern approach to the 8 card brainwave is a huge success coming from Michael O'Brien! It is such a fun effect to perform that really gets the audience involved, in fact, the more involved they are the better the performance is. Production value on this is outstanding. The cards that are included are wonderfully printed. The color is so vibrate. Skill set for this effect is begginer, but don't let that detour you from getting this effect. As with that and it being angle proof, this is... Read more ..read more

Hello gentlemans. Have recently start work on a MEM deck. It takes maybe two-three month to become confident on that and now I do already some tricks with it. The question is.. even understanding, we all have different memories and personal abilities.. How often do you consider is essential to train on your stack to refresh it? Turning cards one by one face up and name them, for a training purposes takes me now about 42-48 seconds, for whole deck. Except the visual picture assigned for... Read more ..read more

Causing a timer to "fast forward" by an hour

Greetings fellow prestidigitators, I have a routine where I "teleport" objects through a "portal." I thought my routine might be more interesting if I had a phone timer "fast forward" by an hour or so after being teleported into the fourth dimension and back. I saw something like this happen at the end of Giancarlo Bernini's "Time Machine" illusion. Anybody have any ideas? I'm open to purchasing a download if it contains this information ..read more

Trying to identify a "book test" routine
Theory11 » Magic Forum

I recently saw a magician do a book routine that I am not familiar with. He had the spectator choose a book from a bag of about 5 familiar books while his back was turned. The spectator held the book behind their back and the magician was able to identify which one it was. And he was able to repeat this 3x. I wasn't sure if this might use something like Tony Averdni's Color Match sensors? The kicker was a prediction reveal on his Instagram bio on anyone's phone (i.e. Stranger App or kinda... Debate between Toibox and Mint Box

Hi all. I was doing research on Mint Box By Danny Garcia, and the reviews on it are not convincing as they state, “ the gimmick is delicate”. I was wondering if I should spend the 30-40 bucks on the gimmick or just use pure sleight of hand with Toibox, a gimmick less version of Mint Box. Please let me know you honest thoughts. Can't remember how a card magic trick worked

A few days ago I was remembered a magic trick that i used to do. This is as much as I can remember: I had a deck of cards (it doesn't need to be a full deck) and I asked someone to choose a card and sign their name on it. After that I put it in a envelope (the envelope had the bottom secretly cut off) and sealed it then somehow I slipped the card out of the envelope onto the deck of cards. Then I wrapped a piece of paper around the cards and stabbed a pencil through the entire thing when I... Read more ..read more
