I have a train with a coreless motor, dosent seem to run well on my track controlled by a controller with feedback, and I'm looking for a controller without feedback, but I don't seem to find anywhere something that specifies that, I can't even seem to find a term for non feedback controllers, where do I search, by what year ..read more

Hello, this is my first post here. I just need to clear up something on the atlas track, which is does full curve mean 180 degrees or 360 degrees? You can see "full curve" on the packaging, but on the official atlas website, it says that there are 16 pieces to a curve. All help is appreciated, thanks ..read more

635 Switcher Help

OK, I have about 40 NW-2's now and I still occasionally run into something on one of them I have never seen before. I picked up a lor of (2) what I believe are 635's, but they are different. This one is missing the armature. None of my other switchers have this motor setup in them. I have a couple of similar Alco Locomotives but no switchers. In the Alco the bottom of the motor plate is very similar but the shaft is in the middle. All of my Greenberg reference says see the 600 under the 635... 635 Switcher Help ..read more

I bought this from eBay and much to my dissapointment, the motor barely runs, if it all, the app doesn't let me provide long videos but I'll try to explain the best I can, sometimes the motor slightly runs but always comes to a dead spot, anywhere, sometimes the led light inside the cab will light up very brightly and the train won't start, tried getting the led light off but the motor runs just as poorly, I tried cleaning it too, but to no success, still runs the same, and I don't think... More about the rescued 1055 junker

I found a paint pen at Walmart that nearly matches the red on the 1055 engine. It shows up only slightly darker on the broad flat surfaces, but not at all on the straight edges, ridges, door frames, etc. The pen is matt finish, so I hit it again with turtle wax to even the shine. I am also working on red marker lights where the number lights go. From 3 feet away, it looks pretty good! (Painters... More about the rescued 1055 junker ..read more
