Has anyone come across a solution that solves the issue of the digital dash and center screens dimming prematurely in a vehicle with tinted windows? I currently have 15% tints on all side windows, nothing on windshield. I've had the tints for just about a year and had resolved myself to living with the auto-dimming, but I figured why not see if there's any easy solution I'm missing before I give the car to my fiancée. My 2018 X3 was unfortunately stolen this week via relay attack but was subsequently found by the police not longer after. The culprits removed the telematic unit before driving off and unfortunately when I picked up the vehicle, the unit was missing. Any idea on cost to replace the unit (new) and refit in the UK? Would the unit need to be replaced and programmed by the dealer or can this be done by and independent? Is a second hand unit fitted an option and would dealers (or independent if they can) be able to reprogramme? Appreciate any help ..read more

2014 F32 435i with brembo upgrade brakes. Put on new front pads and rotors at the same time. After around 100 miles i noticed a juddering under braking that could be felt through the pedal that gradually got worse. In the beginning i thought the pads and rotors just needed to bed in but it didn’t go away So i went and got the rotors skimmed as it felt like they were warped. After rotors were skimmed they performed perfectly again for a couple hundred miles then the juddering started again. We just purchased a well maintained 2009 E83 with 195k miles. So far the only issues are the dash warning lights: Brake (amber), 4x4 (amber), Airbag (red) and lights (amber). The lights warning was shop diagnosed as a faulty LCM. The right side halo does not work (the ground is good, but no power to the bulb per the shop notes). All other lights work. Lengthy drive home from golf today - averaging 120km/h in eco mode. Stopped to get subway and getting back on the highway i got a bit (fairly) aggressive (120km/h at relatively wot) and the car started bogging a smidge and then threw up a drivetrain malfunction. Limped home (barely). Car was very unhappy at idle and virtually zero power. Pulled into a parking spot turned the car off and on again. Still had the drivetrain malfunction lights, but the car was acting more normal based on a drive around the parking lot.
