Pink Triangle of Twin Peaks
THIS ANNUAL SF PRIDE TRADITION WILL BE
HERE SOON & NEEDS A LOT OF VOLUNTEERS
Words by Patrick Carney | Photo courtesy of thepinktriangle.com
The Pink Triangle was originally used to brand suspected homosexuals in Nazi
concentration camps. It was revived in the 1970s as a symbol of protest against
homophobia, used in an inverted form as a rallying and protest symbol during the height of the AIDS crisis (Silence=Death), and has been used to symbolize LGBTQ+ Pride ever since. Part of appreciating and celebrating any Pride is understanding where we ..read more

Hilarious New Series Explores Trying to Find Mr. Right via the Hookup Apps
By Matt Blanco
Danny Will Die Alone dives deep into the hellscape of being a single gay man in his forties trying to find love via the hookup apps. Loosely based on Jack Tracy’s own dating life in New York City and his “Dying Alone Together” podcast, the series depicts Tracy as Danny: a man on a mission. How David Archuleta left behind the Mormon church to flourish as an openly queer person
By Chris Azzopardi
When David Archuleta returned to the “American Idol” stage in April, he knew that singing his latest single, “Hell Together,” which he wrote about his mother’s show of unconditional allyship after he came out in 2021 and left the Mormon church (so did she, in solidarity), wouldn’t be embraced by everyone. Why the Phluid Project founder left the corporate world to promote gender inclusivity
By Sarah Bricker Hunt

Few and far between are people like Mr. Rogers, Dolly Parton and, apparently, Tom Hanks. I’d like to humbly request we add a new name to the nice list: Rob S ..read more

On her first tour in six years, the longtime LGBTQ+ ally and comedian is doing what she does best — making a comeback
By Chris Azzopardi
Kathy Griffin has been through even more than you probably know. She lost a lung to cancer, lost her mother and lost many of her close friends. In 2020, the same year her beloved mom Maggie died, she attempted suicide. All the while, she was being investigated by the Department of Justice for a viral 2017 photo that depicted her holding up a severed model head covered in fake blood that resembled Donald Trump, resulting in a career-dismantling fallout. She is ..read more
