Hi folks, I'm about to buy a used 21 plate Volvo V60, this will be my first Volvo. I have two options available, both are 21 plates around the 35k to 40k milage mark... Both are R Design. However, one is the B6P engine and AWD, the other is the B5P and front wheel drive. I'm going for test drives, but does anyone have experience of these engines? Are they reliable? Had to have new VCM to get Volvo App connected to my XC40 First Edition. A few hiccups in setting it up but now I can start the engine remotely and lock the car remotely. However if I try to unlock the car remotely, the indicators flash & the instruction on the app says to pull the door handle or boot handle within 2 minutes. It doesn't open (except once when I forgot that I had the key in my pocket!!!) Anyone had similar issues ..read more

The woes of my V60 continue as now I seem to have a rad leak on the drivers side. Coolant level drops about half way between max and minimum in the header over about 300 miles. I am not able to search this forum, for some reason, as it drops out on pressing the go button!! Hello, Currently replacing the rear brake discs on my 2012 V60 1.6 Diesel. I need to replace the caliper carrier bolts as when I was tightening the bolts back up after refitting the carrier, one of the heads started to round. I've been unable to find any online. Any ideas where I can get a set? Also, is 200Mm the correct torque? Seems very high to me. Thanks Pete ..read more

Just compared the price of a plug-in XC60 Ultra (MY2025) with an Ultimate (MY2024). The specs are identical, only the name has changed, but the Ultra is nearly £6k more due to the offer price being much less generous. Same applies to the XC90 but with a £5k increase. I noticed too that most of the XC60 Ultras that are scheduled for production have 21" wheels. Why oh why... Glad I didn't cancel my order from last Sept as the car would now cost over £8k more. Most of the trash from the front window and wipers ends up in a space where the engine hood hinges are located. I mean everything ends inside the hinge mechanism. I am surprised that the area is like that —*and nothing protects hinges from leaves, trash, etc... moisture. I am also attaching photos so you can see what I am talking about. I've got a 2012 S60 D3 and need to change the caliper next week (it's sticking on). I've read a Volvo guide that describes bleeding the brakes by pumping the pedal. I'd rather use a pressure bleeder since doing the job on my own. It is okay to use a pressure bleeder on a 2012 S60? Any reason why VIDA only suggests doing it by 'foot ..read more
