Which headset has surprised you more than the Hifiman Arya Stealth?

Is there any that does NOT exceed €1,500 that you prefer to the Arya Stealth, either because of its better tonality, its better technicalities, or both? With this post I want to look for something more sonically interesting than the Arya SE, which I think lacks personality. 2 posts - 2 participants Read full topic ..read more

I know there is a thread for the original Liric but I couldn’t find one for the 2nd generation, so I will leave my review here… TLDR version on YouTube: TDLR - Meze Audio Liric 2 The Meze Liric II have been sent to me by DeCine who are the official distributor for Meze Audio here in Spain. They reached out and asked if I would like to try them out and, with my past experiences with Meze, I was of course very eager to do so. I have received no requests or comments and I will do my usual best to be as unbiased as humanly possible. The official page for the Meze LIRIC II can be found here: LIRIC ..read more

Closed Back shopping advice, $200 budget

Hi all, I’ve been pretty happy with my SHP9600s. (I tried 9500s with modhouse adaptors and Brainwave pads. I still prefer the 9600s.) However, there will be construction in my home and I work from there. So I’m looking for closed-backs, ideally under 150 but 200 is for sure the roof. I know that the DT770 for example is closer to $200. I’m also open to other options in this price bracket except the AT40 & 50xs. Just didn’t like the sound. Pad swapping is fine if it’s somewhat easy. Current Shortlist: AKG 361 AKG 553Mk2 (AKG has them for 190 right now, the price seems to fluctuate) DT770 pr ..read more

As a small company we don’t have much of a presence at large trade shows, so we understand that finding and demoing our headphones is a challenge. That’s why we are proud to provide an opportunity for you to hear our headphones by organizing a tour for both the Borealis and Australis. We will organize separate tours for each headphone in each region starting with the United States, then Canada, followed by Europe and are open to organizing a tour for other regions if there is enough interest. In return, we ask that each participant to publish their in-depth impressions/review in this thread. T ..read more

Hi everyone. I’ve found this type of headphones, AT 1001 L&S Super E and can’t find anything on the web regarding them. The closest I’ve found is the AT-703. Is there anyone that know something about this model? Are they worth restoring? Thank you. 3 posts - 2 participants Read full topic ..read more

Wireless headphones for PC for music, gaming and movies

Hello, I’m looking for a help as I’m deciding which wireless headphones to buy. Currently I’m using SHP9500 with V-moda mic. I’ve been using them for years and every year I spend weeks searching for an upgrade and end up sticking with the SHP9500 since there were always some issues with wireless headphones. I thought I found the one. Audeze Maxwell, on YouTube everyone speak about them as the best. They are over my initial budget, but I said to myself, for the best I could spend little more. However when I browsed Audeze Reddit, I found lot of issues like USB problems, 1-2 sec delays on start ..read more

I was looking at cheap headphones to buy for everyday use to replace my worn out takstars pro 82 and came across the jt1s. Was wondering if I could expect something similar/better/worse in comparison to the takstars or just an opinion in general would be great. 2 posts - 2 participants Read full topic ..read more

Emu Teaks or Grados Hemps?
HifiGuides Forums

To give some context, this is what I tend to listen to as of now. Im big on trap, nu metal, rock, and r&b. I want a fun pair of headphones since that is what ive been used to and enjoyed very much so for the past couple years (Former 7hz Timeless and, Sony XM4, and Beats Fit pro user) and I would like to game on them. I have been dead set on my pair being the Hemps for a while now, but the Emu Teaks seem just as if not more promising and for an equal price range. What experiences have you had with either of these pairs, or both if you have had the opportunity to experience them? 2 posts ..read more
