Hey guys this is my first time posting on one of these so sorry in advance if I can’t explain everything correctly but I’m having issues with my 99 civic ex, its manual swapped and b16a2 swapped. Bought it pre swapped and have been working out issues since I bought it. Current issue is it’s cranking but won’t start due to getting no fuel, I’m getting power up to the relay but no farther. All the fuses are good, starter is good, battery is good, distributor was just changed to a brand new oem... My 1999 civic will not start ..read more

Blowing under dash #1 fuse

I have searched and searched for a bloody diagram and I maybe found it, but I want to be sure. My #1 fuse keeps blowing. I think the only thing on that fuse are the ignition coils, but I have a hard time believing that. I did just change the EGR and put an OEM one in. After, everything was great for about 20 miles, and then on my way home from work, she started misfiring like mad and eventually just died. Now I can get her to crank, but no start until I put a new fuse in. Then she'll start... Blowing under dash #1 fuse ..read more

I found a 96 with a bad engine that I want to put a working engine into. Not a B series just another engine to get it in working condition again. Thanks in advance ..read more

Problems with gear arm alignment during motor swap
Club Civic Forum

While lowering the motor and transmission into the bay, the gear arm remained attached. As I continued lowering the motor, the arm became stuck. I didn't notice until it suddenly shifted (seemingly) into the correct position. However, it's actually rotated 180 degrees out of place. My questions are: 1) Has anyone experienced this before, or am I just inexperienced? 2) How can I fix this issue ..read more

Grinding Gears, use to be 3rd, but moved to 2nd

I drive a 99 civic EX coupe 1.6l non-vtec After I changed the clutch my 3rd gear would grind. It would happen every time I move the shifter lever from 2nd to 3rd, and I could prevent the grind by allowing the rpm's to drop and sync up with the engine speed and very lightly holding the lever towards 3rd until it fell into gear. (Bad syncro right?) Never had the problem before replacing the clutch. I started skipping 3rd all together. Months later I started having a grind in 2nd. But... I'm diving into a project with my 4th Gen Honda Civic (1988-1991) and considering an engine swap to boost its performance. Given the unique aspects of this generation, I want to ensure I make an informed decision. Could anyone share experiences or advice on compatible engines and any modifications required to ensure a smooth swap? Additionally, insights on how to maintain the balance between performance and reliability would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to your valuable inputs ..read more
