so here is the problem... i'm overheating. i've got a new radiator, temperature sensor and thermostat as of 3 months ago. I put a new radiator cap on yesterday. i've bled the system a few times and i'm still getting problems. i think my water pump is ok because when i hit the gas with the rad cap off i can see the coolant move up and down. i have no leaks. the radiator hose is cold, but i dont think it'd be the thermostat cause it's so new. when i bleed the coolant, i can leave the... 4th gen overheating (waterpump ok, new radiator, etc ..read more

Hello. I've done a few searches and haven't found anything that really helps me solve this mystery. 1999 Honda Civic EX - D16y8 - 5 Speed Manual w/ 140,000mi. UPDATE #2 : So I took off the IACV Valve and it looked a little dirty. There was a little bit of crud on the screen, but not as much as I expected. So I sprayed it out with throttle body cleaner. Last summer I raced what I think was an early 90's Civic hatch (sorry I dont kno my Honda's very well) that supposedly had a B18 swap. The car was very loud and I was afraid I was gonna get killed (my Stang is basically stock), but I ended up killing him by nearly a second and a half (see timeslip, Im the left lane)... so my question is, are B18-swapped hatches supposed to be faster than this one was? I have a 2017 accord coupe manual transmission V6. The book states 2.2 qt for transmission oil, can I just put in 2? Just asking cause I've watched videos on changing the fluid and everyone stated that 2qt was needed.
