2003 ap1 having issues with secondary air pump monitor not ready. replaced pump and 2 hoses due to being damaged. The car does not have a check engine light on, hasn't had it on at all. checked wiring, relays and fuses. you can hear air pump turn on and off. Drove vehicle multiple key cycles, over 100 miles freeway and street multiple times. I ended up buying a izze bypass modulator. Monitor is still shows as not ready. Unfortunately I need to fix this due to living in commiefornia and vehicle needing a smog every two years. Looking for input from people with similar issue and advice. Might se ..read more

So I was trying to change my timing belt and all was going well until I got to the tensioner unfortunately it was stripped and I was trying ways to fix it eventually I fixed the car and everything was timed perfectly and so I put the car back together and when I cranked the car it wouldnt start. I check my timing and I though it was out of time when I saw my crank mark line up, but my cam shaft was upside down(I didn’t realize that’s why the two rotations were needed) so I spin the cam shaft over without the belt trying to adjust it back. And so eventually the car still wouldn’t start and so I ..read more

Hey ya'll! Im new here and new to working on my cars, but I have no other choice but to learn in my current situation. Im in need of some help here. I bought a 94 Accord that has an H22A4 in it. it was running rough, so i did the timing, valve adjustment, and spark plugs. The wires are NGK and seem fairly new. The car was driving rough and had a bad tick. After doing some tune ups, i had the engine running beautifully. I then took it for a drive to see if it was deiving better, but it was not. When driving, the car didnt have its power. Seemed like rpms were trying to go up but acceleration wa ..read more

hey guys. new in this forum and site. so i got an acura rsx a few months back and it has a k20a3 auto right now. i’m planning to manual swap it and also put in a k24a2 in. but thing is, the area i live in in dubai is pretty strict and cannot do visible mods such as exhausts, headers, turbos or any of that sort. so i was thinking about putting in some pistons or cams. so only internals. the QUESTION is, can i swap out the pistons for wiesco or manley or nippon without changing the intake exhaust or headers? and how much can i make with just a cold air intake, and pistons or cams with a standalo ..read more

Fog Light Switch Bulbs

Hello, I am adding some factory fog lights to my 2003 Honda Civic. I found an OEM fog light switch that should work (although I am unsure it came from a Civic, or another early to mid 2000s Honda). I have discovered the back light (illumination) bulb and the green indicator light bulb are both burned out. I haven't had any luck finding the part numbers for the bulbs or a diagram showing them. Does anyone know the part numbers for these bulbs? The backlight bulb is the long one. Thanks ..read more

Hello everyone I'm having an issue with the rpm revving up and holding around 2500 to 3500rpm's. I changed the iacv and tried running it with out it plugged in. But when I start the car it just revs up to what i stated above and holds. Now if I unplug the iacv it idles fine for a few min and then goes back up. I was told by a good friend that works at a shop that it is a vacuum leak but I can not seem to find it anywhere. None of the hoses look loose and are connected tight . No gasket leaks from what I can tell. And the problem came out of nowhere. Car ran fine on the way to work and at the ..read more

Hey all, Toying with different ways to reliably raise the ride height on our stage rally car. 95 Civic SI with a B16A2 and lots of weight in the way of roll cage, safety equipment, tool kits, spares, coolsuit cooler, etc. Currently the car sits on Bilstein B6 with custom coilover sleeves that I had machined to allow ride height adjustment, 12" 250lb QA1 springs in the front, 12" 200lb QA1 springs in the rear. In order to achieve roughly stock ride height, we have 1" of preload in the rear and 2" of preload in the front. I would like to raise the car another inch or so, but I am worried about ..read more
