Hi everyone!
I'm Inés, from Spain. I started Gongfu 5 years ago after a nice tea session in China. I drink different types of teas, but oolong is my favourite, specially yancha.
I'm here to learn more about this fascinating world.
Welcome Inés! Glad to have you!

Hey everyone! First time posting.
I recently bought Selefina's Moon Milk Celestial Blush powder. I bought it not realizing that you're supposed to heat up milk over the stove and add it in, but I was far too impatient last night to heat up milk that way, and I'm honestly not a big cow milk drinker and tend to use oatmilk if anything.
I ended up adding a little powder with some oatmilk in my milk frother and then pouring it into some hot water from my kettle. I know that's not how you're supposed to make it, but it worked okay I think.
So I have two questions:
1. Have any of you come up wi ..read more

Has anyone else noticed how some teas can smell amazing but taste quite bland? I recently brewed a pot of jasmine tea that had a delightful floral scent, but when I tasted it, the flavour was so much milder than expected. It's a bit disappointing when the aroma suggests a rich taste that the tea itself doesn't deliver. I'm curious if others have had similar experiences with different types of teas. What might be causing this gap between scent and taste?

Both pretty distinct in their own ways, despite some similarities. Fuerh tends to have a stronger and bolder flavor profile, while Liu Bao has a more mellow and smoother taste. If you're into intense flavors, go for Fuerh; if you prefer something more subtle, Liu Bao might be your jam. Personally, I dig Fuerh for its robustness, but Liu Bao hits the spot when I'm after a more laid-back vibe. Give both a try and see which one floats your boat! Cheers!
Thank you so much!

Hello every body. I’m Mong Kieu - a tea lover from Vietnam.
Nice to meet you all.
I would like to learn and share my tea passion, especially Vietnamese tea and the way to enjoy tea in Vietnam.
Xin chao!
I am a tea lover from America. I spent almost a month in Sri Lanka this past Aug touring tea plantations, tea master lessons, and tea tastings. I loved it!
I returned to Vietnam for my 4th time in Feb, and wanted to have some tea shipped to my HCMC apartment to bring home with me. I have only had Shan Tuyet tea which I like.
I only buy black tea with no added flavor and so I purchased abo ..read more

I've been smitten by Hagi yaki, and today I spent quite some time musing on the feel of the piece in hand. Now I understand for things like yunomi-s and wan-s that they should feel natural in hand. So my main question is as follows:
Do artists on some level acknowledge how pieces are usually held, and design them accordingly?
I ask because when musing on some of my pieces I realize that different pieces I hold different ways, but most feel completely natural when held. So are things like placement of thumb dimples, or ridges in the cup very thought out? Or could there be a secret that your ..read more
