In this episode I talk about where the beloved Terminator franchise could, and should, go next.
I talk about how a possible reboot of the original could be an option, allowing the franchise to completely reinvent itself and start afresh.
I also give my thoughts on where some of the previous Terminator movies went wrong, including the apparent choice to scrap a much darker (and better!) ending to 2009's Terminator Salvation.
Finally, I'll share a couple of ideas of my own for what I would like to see in the next Terminator movie.

In this episode I talk openly and honestly about 1990's Predator 2.
I talk about how having not watched the movie for years because of my disliking of it, I was excited to see if my thoughts would have changed now that I'm older and (partially) wiser.
I discuss how leading man Danny Glover was always going to struggle stepping into Arnold Schwarzenegger's boots, and why choosing to set the movie in Los Angeles this time around was such a controversial decision.
I also highlight Bill Paxton, Gary Busey, Predator weapons and the L.A. Lakers(?).

In the first of a new series, I'll be taking a closer look at some of the incredible classic action movie sequels released in the 1980's and early 1990's.
As well as this, I'll be discussing the action movie sequels, trilogies and franchises that never happened that should have...
Or did happen, but should have been so much better...
Or did happen, but never should have happened at all!
In Sequels and Threequels: Part 1 I kick things off by discussing three movie sequels that never happened: Commando 2, Tango & Cash 2 and The Thing 2.
I'll also be discussing two movie sequels that (unfortu ..read more

In this episode I talk about one of my favourite Jean-Claude Van Damme movies of all time, 1992's Universal Soldier.
I start by talking about how Van Damme stormed on to an already loaded action movie scene in the late 1980's, and then pushed the bar up even higher with his high-kicking martial arts thrills.
I go on to talk about the Universal Soldier movie and the fantastic performances by Dolph Lundgren and German-American actor, Ralf Moeller.
I also highlight the excellent use of humour throughout the movie.

In this episode I take a look back at one of 1994's forgotten gems, Blown Away starring Jeff Bridges and Tommy Lee Jones.
I start this episode by taking an important look at how actors like Jeff Bridges have made an important contribution to the classic action movie dynasty of the 1980's and 90's.
I then talk about the movie itself and discuss the ingenious bomb designs and traps featured throughout.
I also talk about Blown Away's bigger movie brother from the same year, Speed (starring Keanu Reeves), and compare their respective budgets and box office takings.

In this episode I talk about the Universal Soldier franchise that didn't happen like it should have in the 1990's.
I talk about how Jean-Claude Van Damme could have become the world's biggest action hero by releasing a Universal Soldier sequel shortly after the success of the 1992 original. I also break down my idea for a plot that would have opened the door for a successful trilogy.
I also share my thoughts on the current Universal Soldier franchise including Universal Soldier: The Return. Regeneration, Day of Reckoning and two straight-to-TV movies.

In this episode I talk about the absolute cult classic, 1987's Masters of the Universe.
I talk about how toy brand Mattel vetoed any killing in the movie, and why actor Dolph Lundgren was concerned about his He-Man character from the start.
I also talk about how originally 50+ characters from the toy line were wanted in the movie, and why Orko and Battle Cat didn't make the cut.
