So, its becoming difficult to find little magnetic islands for glass 15mm+.....i decided to make my own. Pretty rudimentary to be honest - inside each side has 2 black epoxy coated Neodymium magnets (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B077SH81Y8 - magnets are not cheap!!) 3d printed shelf and containers for the magnets..... Then glues some sand to the top part of the shelf and glued a small piece of rubble onto it - the idea is that if i wanted to move the frag down... Read more ..read more

The gorgonians, shrooms, algaes and leathers etc constantly pumping turpenes out in so much coral, with reduced flow from... Read more ..read more

Recommendations for a small algae reactor
Ultimate Reef

My previous tanks all had a refugium refugium and am a great fan of them. But my new setup really does not have sumo area for one so thinking of at least growing some chaeto in a reactor. Most decent reactors seem pretty bit and I imagine they need to be of a certain size but wondered if anyone can recommend a smallish one that will work well. An alternative idea I have mulled over is just some sort of small polycarbonate shallow tank I can fit above the sump to use as a fuge and pump the... Read more ..read more
