So I've got a deposit on an id3. Approved used so 2 year warranty. Dealer is trying to sell a 3 year additional warranty for 699. Now he claims it kicks in at end of free warranty period- so 5 years altogether, but I'm wary. Does anyone know if VW sell such a plan as he claims its from them- can't see anything on website. In addition VW are offering 500 off and 2 years servicing for a PCP- but he got a bit tetchy when I told him I will be paying it off and just using it to discount the car... Vw warranty ..read more

Hello, I picked up my approved used 2021 ID.3 Family last week, and after driving it home found the rear parking sensors aren't working. The infotainment is prompting me to clean them, but they are spotless. It's under warranty, but it could be a while before the dealership can look at it. So in the meantime: is there anything I can do/test to try and get them to spring into life (that won't invalidate the warranty)? Possibly relevant info: Car is on software 3.2 Front sensors... Hi all Been toying with the idea of buying an ID3 for years. Watched loads of youtube videos, and rented a '22 plate 'Life' for a long weekend. Aside from the usual gripes with interior quality and the infotainment system we absolutely loved our 3 days with it. We live in London and would mainly use one for short trips around town.
