Thoughts on coil overs?

I recently started getting my 93 lx back on the road and need to overhaul the rear suspension. I’m not super concerned with ride quality and would like the car to hook as much as possible if I’m replacing basically everything should I just go with a bolt in coil over kit? I run a 10” back wheel so I would like the adjustable ride height but I’ve also seen lower control arms with adjustable spring perches. I don’t mind spending a little money to get it right the first time rather than have to... Read more ..read more

Hello to all. Glad to be a member of the Forum. I am the original owner of a 89 5.0 LX Sport. My car has many mods which I installed myself. Mileage is about 185,000 kilometers. Last Fall before putting my baby in hibernation, I experienced a stall/no start condition shortly after starting/running it around the block. Once it cooled off it started and ran fine, although I took it directly home. It happened once a bit earlier when I ran the car in the garage until it warmed up. Fuel pressure... I have an 1988 GT Convertible that I have had since it was new. After having a new top installed, I am having an issue with latching the top on the drivers side. The top does not line up with the alignment pin (picture attached) and I can not latch the top down on the driver side. Passenger side works normally. This is the fourth top installed on the car. Factory top and this is the third replacement. I have never had this problem on the two previous replacements. The car has never... Read more ..read more

I've got an old BF Goodrich temporary spare tire mounted on a black Ford rim with yellow D9 sticker on it. I pulled this out of a wrecked low mile 1979 Mustang many years ago and always assumed it was the original from Ford. My question is it the correct '79 spare ..read more

Fox Body Air Bag for sale

Hiya, I built an FFR Roadster (427 Shelby kit car) years ago from a 1990 Fox body 302 convertible. I've got sundry interior parts like seat belts boxed up (blue IIRC), but I'd planned to use the DS air bag to launch tires or to scare my kids at some point. After sitting on a shelf for years, I dusted off the air bag to find that it's now unobtaniumn - it would be a shame to drunkenly set it off to launch a tire. If anyone is in a build and needs a replacement air bag, I'll give them a... Read more ..read more

1988 GT Convretible potential buy

Hello, I am new to the group and I am looking for some insight on a car I am considering purchasing. This is a 1988 GT convertible out of Chicago. I am wondering what the sprayed on substance is that is located on the inside of the engine bay on both sides. It reminds me of rust-retardant material I had on a car when I was a kid. I don't think it is factory applied. Any other comments about the engine compartment are welcome. Thanks! Jason ..read more

Working on the last small job before cruise season starts here in Alabama. This is not a hard job but separating the seal from the metal trim is tedious. You have to go slow and gentle to keep from bending the trim. I’ve attached pictures of the removal. I will update the post soon showing the replacement. I’m also painting my mirrors while I’m do this ..read more
