I’m at a loss and looking for some insight or ideas on what could be causing this issue. Here’s the low down. Car puffs out white smoke when left to idol for a few minutes. '00 GT AODE 317K miles (daily driver) and going strong, bought my Stang brand new. I've maintained the car properly, it is not abused. How much on average cost to have the oil pan gasket replaced done by a shop? I've read and watched how time consuming it looks by DIYs. I don't have the experience to do this pm on my car. I have a 96 3.8 mustang i have a major issue. when i first start it up she runs ok for about a mile or so. also it takes longer to start but at times she cranks right up. but after the first mile is starts to miss and it will not pull at full throttle. it will bog down but wont stall out. it is annoying. i can run on the hight way around 2000- 2400 rpm and she runs ok pulls but as soon as i press the pedal down she boggs down. it also miss fires #2 cylinder. i have Full exhaust no cats... 96 3.8 Mustang No Power Full Throttle ..read more

I went to a Ford dealership today and the parts person smirked when I mentioned the year '00 while he searched thru the database of parts. He said Ford made it obsolete. Anyone can confirm this?
