Hey guys, new member here and new mustang owner. A few weeks back I had bought a 97 gt 4.6l auto with 106k miles on the motor and a new trans in it. It was 100% going to be fixer upper but was running and driving. The main issue besides the dry rotted tires is there was this slight knocking sound whenever it was put into gear that didn't happen all of the time and it wasn't as aggressive like the average rod knock. 16 Mustang GT California Special here with 48k miles, only have one issue that I can't seem to figure out. Check engine light for a O2 sensor. Replaced the O2 sensor, still the same issue. I've tried every single possible fix on Google that I could find and still it won't go the hell away, so at this point I'm just living with it and ignoring it's even there. i've got a '01 mustang base model with a 3.8l V6 that is having misfire issues. it started out with just cylinder 6 but progressed to cylinder 5. i put all new plugs and wires in it when i got it and replaced the coil pack with one from Napa. it was still idling rough at a complete stop. i went to O'Reilly's and ordered a motorcraft coil pack and put it in there. i recently drove it from STL, MO to Warrenton, MO and it would start to lose power. i swapped the Napa coil pack back in and now... cylinder 4 misfire ..read more

anyone know where the cam position sensor is located on an 04 mustang gt SOHC? I think its in front on the drivers side behind the power steering fluid resivor that pluds directly into the head. Yes, no, maybe? Also what are the symptoms of a bad cam position sensor? My car has a rougher idle since last night, lost power, very rough start has to turn the key 2X, and gas milage is horrible.
