Something weird just occurred.
I needed to replace one of the LED bulbs in my low beam and my manual said 9006. My owners book said the same.
They would not even fit into the hole.
9006 for low beam, 9005 for high beam, says the manual.
Eventually I found that the existing bulb was H11.
I know, it seems weird, but no way would a 9006 even go into the hole.
Comments anyone? Or should I be farmed off to a retirement home ..read more

Hey all,
Anyone had dramas getting the valve cover off? 2004 tj 4.0. It seems to be catching up at the back, I can get the front up but it feels like there’s not enough clearance around the wiring loom to get it over the rockers.
I’m sure I’ve taken all the bolts out - ever that sneaky little bugger right at the back.
I’m sitting here with scratches all up my arms and bleeding knuckles considering my next move, thought the brains trust on here might have a hint or 2 before I go all gronk on it.
To make matters worse all the YouTube videos I can find just slip the loom off the back easy as pie ..read more

No mention made at drop off but on collection advised & given paperwork to show new fuel pump fitted also as part of recall ..read more

So this has now happened twice in my CRD WJ.
Coming home from work last week, I stop at a set of lights in Colac. Engine splutters a few times then stops. 5 or 6 start attempts and finally it fires up and away we go. Check for fault codes and there are none there.
Drive another 500 ks around home and it doesn't miss a beat.
Heading back to work today. Stop at the very same set of lights in Colac.Engine splutters a few times then stops. 5 or 6 start attempts and finally it fires up and away we go. Check for fault codes and there are none there. Drive for another hour and a bit and doesn't mi ..read more

Hi all. New to the forum, thanks for the bucket load of info! I’ve searched but haven’t found anything that specifically related to what I’m experiencing so hope someone can help.
My 2013 my14 3.0 crd overland was perfect for years but in the last 12 months has given me a hell of a time. I bought it in 2017 with 50k kms. We’ve troubleshooted a bunch of issues, but now the only thing out of the ordinary is the radiator fans are running a lot harder than they ever were. My coolant temp sits pretty solid mid 90’s. The fans kick up a notch when my oil temp hits 105, at which point my oil temp con ..read more
