Hi all, it's been a long time since I've posted on here. I have facet joint syndrome in my lower back, I've had fadiofrequency nerve ablation three times without success. My pain is getting worse and I am really struggling with sleep and honestly just extremely worn down. Last time I saw the pain clinic they said they wouldn't repeat the ablation if it didn't work, which is fine. But is there anything else I can push for? I exercise regularly even when I am feeling rough and try to practise good "spine hygiene", I am just at my wits end at the moment as this has been going on for 7 years with ..read more

Hi all, I’m 33 and was diagnosed with PsA at 16 and it has mainly always been under control apart from for the last 6 months or so where I’ve really struggled with pain and mostly fatigue causing me to have to reduce my hours at work which is not good due to lack of income! Anyway, I have been on 15mg methotrexate for a good few years now but I’ve just had 10mg leflunomide added last week and I feel absolutely awful! The fatigue is worse, I feel weak, I have a funny tummy and I feel sick mainly after eating. My question is, is it just my system getting used to the drug and the side effects wil ..read more

Hi there, Does anyone have experience of arthritis in their hands please? Before I go calling the doctors again, I'm just wondering if this is yet another arthritic issue, or whether it could be carpal tunnel? I have arthritis in my hips, knees and shoulder apparently (personally I think there is something else going on, as none of these areas are swollen or have been, and I'm not responding to any NSAID's. I've had a dull ache from my shoulder all down the outside of my arm for several weeks and more lately have now got issues with my wrist and hand - again, nothing is swollen. I struggle lif ..read more

i have advanced arthritis in my knee and moderate to advanced in the same hip. Although my knee sounds worse, it has been bad for a long time, but my hip is failing much more quickly. I have been seen twice by my consultant, the first time he suggested a steroid injection which was beneficial for about 3 months, but has now worn off. I just had another appointment with the consultant who asked me what i wanted to do…have another injection or go for the replacement? I have opted to try the injection again as it worked well first time, but am now wondering if this was the right choice. Even sinc ..read more

Hey all, This is my first time on this website. FYI-I'm a 57 year old active male from New Jersey. Just had my right big toe fused about 10 days ago and sadly, only 7 months after a failed cheilectomy. Prior to the cheilectomy, I underwent corticosteroid injections and wore orthotics with a Morton's extension for approximately 3 years. Would love to hear back from anyone who has had this procedure 6 months ago or longer. What challenges did you have adjusting to your 'new normal'? Are you better off now than before the surgery? I just want to manage my expectations moving forward. Thanks ..read more
