Hello i have a 2002 787 rfi that is driving me crazy when I got it, it wouldn't run at all in the water, but it would run on the trailer things that I have tried are: I replaced the rotary valve and sent the rotary valve cover to SBT to have it resurfaced because it was way out of spec that's when it would finally run and start in the water, but it runs poorly I have replace the fuel pump. Some history: Bought a used 2006 RXT, no issues disclosed to me other than the owner said at some point he had the supercharger rebuilt. Initial run had a problem with very low top speed and eventually overheated. Found and fixed that problem (heat exchanger and seal between it and hull). I have to say my most miserable Bastid award goes to my current project 1996 Seadoo Speedster boat. It is at the top of my list because I don't like working on boats so it is an enigma why I even bought it. You can't get to parts without hanging over the side, and this SOB had too many idiots working on it before I ever touched it. Most skis need everything and that's what I do straight away. Hey all, new guy here (to the forum, pwc’s and 2 strokes) I changed my carbon ring last night and all went seemingly well putting the jet pump back on, but after I bolted the nozzle to it I noticed a problem as I was hooking up the vts and steering. The vts rod is far enough out that when connected it tips the nozzle down so for that left and right motion is restricted badly.
