"When driver drowsiness is detected, an alert is displayed on the touchscreen in the cards area and an alert is sounded. Driver Drowsiness Warning activates over 65 km/h when driven for a minimum of 10 minutes and Autopilot is not engaged. If you see this alert, you may consider stopping and resting before continuing. " The above warning happened to me when I got into the car and was about to set the navigation! Clearly this is impossible! Both my wife and I expressed great... When I purchased my 2020 Model 3, I got 173 miles for 80% charge. Now I get 168 miles. Is this normal? According to Google, 5 miles loss in 6 months is on the high end of expected loss. Thanks ..read more

Traffic indications .....

I opted in to have comm enhancement for a month because it works for our hols. Our journeys have given us a good idea of the effectiveness or otherwise of the traffic indicators. On a right-hand junction whilst waiting at lights, the road ahead was visually perfectly clear - however, it was shown as red. It would seem that either (1) this was a historical measurement from some time back, or (2) it was showing red because it mostly might be a known hold-up. For whatever reason, it was... This has happened a few times... I've left my son in the car while I popped into the supermarket say... First the alarms go off! Then the car starts playing LOUD music!! When my son opens the car door... the music gets lower or turns off I told him previously to simply click the unlock button on the dashboard That didn't work I'm guessing this is a built in security feature in Tesla? How can I change so that I can leave my kids in the car and not have the car go bezerk! Thanks ..read more

Doing a lot of research before possible purchase and found the various Warranty conditions a bit confusing. In particular and I quote:- The Tesla Parts, Body & Paint Repair Limited Warranty begins on the purchase date of the part(s), and coverage extends for a period of 12 months or 12,500 miles, which ever comes first. Specific categories of parts have unique warranty coverage periods: Sheet metal: Limited lifetime Drive Unit*: 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first... I’m on holiday in Scotland, in the land of ChargePlace Scotland (CPS), with no Superchargers north of Inverness to the east and Fort William to the west. The only rapid chargers are the ones that CPS call ‘Journey Chargers’. They are a maximum of 50kW. There are some Osprey ones at John O’Groats, which I didn’t use, as my state of charge was at 92%! And a pod point raid at Tesco in Wick. There may be others, but I haven’t found them. The car battery temperature when driving normally... Battery Pre-conditioning ..read more

Road noise/improve soundproofing

The road noise when on motorways or at higher speeds is the weak point of what is, overall a great car. Its just starting to grate now. On my own it's fine as I just turn my tunes up, but when travelling as a family it's hard to even have a conversation on some road surfaces, at speed. So...has anyone actually installed any of the sound proofing kits available online? Are they a waste of money? Has anyone done anything more drastic ie taking trim off and putting their own sound proofing in... Road noise/improve soundproofing ..read more

Wipers fixed in 2024.20.1 ?

Updated to 20.1 a day of so ago and today is the first time since then it's rained. The wipers were perfect and by that I don't just mean they worked ok. It was almost like telepathy. One swallow doesn't make a summer (summer, remember those?) and I'm reluctant to get my hopes up, but, anybody else on 20.1 with working wipers ..read more

I do think that instead of 'Tesla owners voting for huge income for EM' he might have done the decent thing instead and at least given us greater 'routine' software benefits such as ongoing connectivity. This would not even have cost him a tiny, tiny fraction of that sum yet would have been greatly appreciated. Lawrence ..read more
