Hi Guys I'm currently on holiday at a bnb house where I'm charging the car using the Tesla granny cable. The only issue is that their socket is outside. The plug itself is enclosed so I'm not worried about that but the UMC unit is obviously hanging out. Does anyone know if it's waterproof? In release 2023.12 it says "if selected, when the key is detected, only the driver door and the charging socket will be unlocked" I tried it out but the charging socket remains firmly locked until I specifically unlock it via the car control panel or the app. Does anyone know how this feature is supposed to work? I would quite like the charging socket to unlock when the car is unlocked, which is what my i3 does. I never sit in the car while charging so there is no need to keep the socket... About 4 or 5 times over the last month or so I’ve got into my model 3 and one of the windows will be open by a few inches. I’m not hitting the vent button on the app or accidentally hitting the controls when getting out. Still getting used to my LR, so I may be misunderstanding something, but bear with me... I drove from East Anglia to Walthamstow this morning. Used 32% battery and trip card said 235Wh/m. Fine Drove home this evening. Exact same route. About 40 miles into the journey trip card said 245Wh/m. I also had the consumption chart up, just for interest. About 55 miles into the 91 mile journey, it showed consumption suddenly leaping by about 250Wh/m, and there is stayed for the res tof the journey... Weird consumption stats ..read more

I've found a lovely red 70 Plate Model 3 LR at a price I'm happy with and have just one concern over it. It has all the usual indicators of the refresh Model 3 with no chrome, updated centre console etc.... Only thing is, the door cars don't have the wood trim extending into them. I understand this happened at some point when China cars were refreshed buy US made Model 3's we're only just starting to get the refresh parts. I would like to ask for advice on specific paint problems noticed when choosing a used car. This is a 2021 Model 3 with 30,000 miles, the vahicle was assembled in March 2021. Now for sale in Germany.
