"I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." (Ps 37:25 KJV)
Matthew Poole has good comments on this verse:
"This assertion seems to be contradicted by many experiences; nor can it be denied, that both good men and their children have sometimes been reduced to great want.
Quest. How then is this true?
Answ.
1. Some render the last clause thus, nor (did I ever see)
his seed, ( to wit, forsaken, as...

I've noticed many brethren here have not studied the Old Testament Books of God's prophets like we as Christians are supposed to also do (2 Peter 3:2). Christianity is not simply just about the New Testament Books of The Bible. The Old Testament prophesied of events first that were fulfilled later per The New Testament Books, and there are still many Old Testament prophecies not yet completed today. Apostle Peter said we are to be "mindful" of them.
One of the teaching tools God Word gives...

This OP is NOT about whether Mary is a perpetual virgin or not. I assume that you think she is. Please don't argue about that. This post is about betting on what you believe/think.
Let proposition P1 = Mary remained a virgin till she died.
P2 = Mary did not remain a virgin till she died.
Between 0 and 10, how much weight do you put on each of the above propositions? The stronger your belief in a proposition, the higher the weight.
Are you willing to bet based on your weighting scheme...

Reader,
Most of the time, when i teach here, and on forums, i dont cut and paste verses.
Occasionally, i'll list verses, but, mostly what i do is post the verses in the sentences im using to teach.
This is why the real student of the bible, who loves the bible and studies the New Testament, will recognize verses in my sentences, even tho i didn't post the verse.
Why do i do that?
Why dont i post 20 verses, regarding some Thread's topic, and that is basically the Thread?
Because that wont...

I can't tell you what you should tell your kids about Santa Claus. That's up to your conscience as a parent.
For my conscience, I can't tell my kids that Santa Claus is real.
According to "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town", Santa possesses these supernatural characteristics:
He sees you when you're sleepin'
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
Well, only God knows that.
I also told my kids not to tell their friends that Santa wasn't real. Their parents treat Santa...

Moses was God’s representative under the Law. The Israelites were symbolically baptized under his leadership.
For Christians, we have a different leader, Matthew 28:
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Bold and italics are no longer available on mine. I don’t know why? Did I overuse the privilege? …emojis are no longer available on mine either. I can’t even do a sideways face.
Colossians 3:5-11 Therefore, “treat the parts of your earthly body as dead” to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. [6] For it is because of these things that the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, [7] and in them you also once walked, when you...

Should the comma be placed after the word "today"?
At Biblehub, 31 translations placed the comma before *today*. Only 2 placed it after.
The following is from GotQuestions:
First, we note that every major Bible translation inserts the comma before the word today. Thus, the KJV, NKJV, NASB, NIV, ESV, and RSV all agree that Jesus was speaking of the time that the thief...
