I don't watch any college football, and obviously it's a small sample size, but nothing Penix did last night looked good. There wasn't a single point during the game where I thought he was going to be able to make soemttning happen. Most of his long passes looked like they lacked touch (except that one where the wide open WR decided to spike the ball instead of catch it). His short passes were never on target. Even after AWJ made that insane play, we still should have been losing if not for a missed FG and a TD called back for a totally inconsequential illegal formation. The illegal formation (along with the ref botching the lineman reporting as eligible in the lions game last week) have me confused.
