An Ohio company has sued the U.S. Postal Service to challenge a multibillion-dollar contract awarded to Oshkosh Corp. to produce a new line of delivery vehicles for the agency. Workhouse Group was a finalist for the contract, which would be worth billions depending on how many vehicles the Postal Service needs. Oshkosh Corp. won the contract in February to build 50,000 to 165,000 delivery vehicles over the next decade. New North, Inc. has received a $150,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. to help run Blueprint Green Bay, which provides entrepreneurship training and helps plug entrepreneurs into networking and funding opportunities. Jan Allman, current CEO, accepted a new role in Fincantieri Marine Group’s Green Bay office as senior vice president of public affairs and community relations. The City of Manitowoc is receiving a $98,000 state grant to investigate the environmental health of a 7.7-acre site on a Manitowoc River peninsula in the city’s downtown. The funds from the Brownfield Site Assessment Grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. bring the total of WEDC funds dedicated to the River Point District to $524,550.
