I tried to setup an account for our local track, but I am not getting the confirmation email. I have checked my spam folder, that I entered the email correct, all that, and nothing will get that email to me. I emailed them using their contact us form on the website and I have not received a response in over two weeks. I would like to be able to get the track registered so we could get registrations ahead of time for beg events (well, big for us) Thanks in advance ..read more

What would be the better car to use for racing? Looking for someone with experience between the 2 cars. Now let's start off with I have both the nitro associated rc8b4 and rc8b4e. Both of them are almost converter to the 4.1 but I just recently bought a Tekno eb48 2.1 and am up in the air of I should get the tekno nb as I like to have both of the same brand cars. I like my rc8s but kind of liking the tekno at the same time. Anyone else ever switch from 1 or the other and preferred 1 over the other ..read more

Hey guys, I would like to preface by saying that I have absolutely zero real racing experience. I have run cars on a track a little bit but never in any organized fashion. I've wanted to get into racing for a long time but I always either talked myself out of it or come up with some excuse to not do it. (Usually out of fear of failing spectacularly or just looking stupid) But this year I'm gonna do it. So I called up the guy who runs the races and asked him about the classes and which ones usually get enough cars to run, he told me the most popular is 1/8 e-buggy and they also get a decent tur ..read more

Hi community thank you all for having me. I just joined this amazing community. I used to race stadium trucks on indoor dirt off road courses but now I'm getting into buggy racing. My local track is an indoor off road carpet track. I have a B6.4 roller that needs electronics. My local track races mostly 2wd stock spec buggies. So I'm going to start out in thr 17.5 rookie class. The car regulations at my track state: 2wd 17.5 Buggy – Any ROAR Approved 17.5 turn motor and electronic speed control with no timing or ramping programed. This is evident from the ESC’s LED blinking (also referred to a ..read more

Hi all, I've got a D5 on order and understand that I've got to provide a pinion gear for it. The motor I'm going to use is a 13.5T brushless/sensored and Im going to use this for drifting indoors. I can't find out what spur is on it though. Can you guys help me with the pinion size? Thanks ..read more

I have an Ogio 9800 rig bag but am looking for something better to transport with. Honestly I feel like I bring to much stuff to the track because the bag has so much room. I see some people using things like Milwaukee packout's. Wondering what other guys might be using. Thanks ..read more

Are "expensive" tires really worth it for racing?
R/C Tech » Racing Forum

I have the 1/8 e-buggy class in mind, but it really applies to almost any racing class. Do the tires from the big name ("expensive") tire brands like Proline, JConcepts, AKA, etc. really perform significantly better than the cut-rate brands like Procircuit and GRP? All other things being equal (car setup, power system, track conditions, driver, etc.) is it really worth it for the average joe club racer to spend more on those "expensive" brands or do you really need to be at a pro level to notice a difference? Granted I can afford the "expensive" tire brands, but when a cut-rate brand offers b ..read more
