Heard about this book some time ago. It’s by John Pepper and I believe is now out of print. Story, as far as I can recall, is about one man’s trials as a transvestite. The term crossdresser was not in common use at the time (1970s, I think). Second hand copies were available on Amazon at one time. but I can’t find it now. Any of you girls come across it?
