I'm re-flooring an old condo and while removing the old floor I found that a portion of the living room is a cast in place concrete slab. Beneith it is the building's entryway. The other half of the room is 1x6 subfloor which sits about 1/2" higher than the slab. My thought is to glue 5/8" plywood to the slab, keeping weight on it till cures. Should I Glue Double Subfloor?

Have a situation where I need to add about 150 sf of 1/2" OSB over existing 3/4" plywood to bring it flush with the rest of the subfloor in the first level before hardwood installation. I had always thought it was best to glue and screw the 2 layers together to minimize squeaking but now I've heard that isn't actually a good idea.
