Just by looking at the history of the world, one can find several examples of oppressive systems being removed by a variety of means. Which one looks like the best way to solve India's caste problem???

Gandhari cursed Krishna for what she perceived to be his inaction in saving her sons during the Kurukshetra War. He willingly accepted the curse though he did/didn't do what was required for dharma. Gandhari accused him of "throwing the first punch".

Also called the Maharamayana, this a very large, very profound work. There is no complete English translation online, as far as I can find. But there is the condensed version, the Laghu Yoga Vasistha done hundreds of years ago and it is in English.

Maybe my premise is wrong but if one considers the Devi as the source of both maya and enlightenment, how can we see whether her "promise of / potential for the bhakta's enlightenment" is real? How can one see whether the form of the Devi is "true" and not yet another projection caused by one's desires ..read more
